About Us

Gentlemen’s Quest traces its roots back to 2014 when it was established at a Tampa-based high school serving youth residing in the 33604 zip code. Initially, the program operated within the school as a club, implementing a unique cohort model that annually served 33 students in grades 9-12. Recognizing the positive impact on students’ lives and the community, Gentlemen’s Quest underwent a significant transition in 2018, evolving from a school-based club to its own 501(c)(3) not-for-profit entity, officially named Gentlemen’s Quest of Tampa Inc.

With this transformation, the program expanded its reach beyond the high school, extending its services to elementary, middle, and high school youth throughout Hillsborough County. Since its inception, Gentlemen’s Quest has tirelessly served over 3,000 youth, fostering personal and academic development. The organization has also demonstrated a commitment to educational advancement by awarding over $153,000 in scholarships to deserving students.

Notably, Gentlemen’s Quest boasts a remarkable track record, maintaining a 100% high school graduation rate and achieving a 100% transition rate of students to college, trade school, the military, or the workforce immediately after high school. The program prides itself on a 0% recidivism rate, underscoring its success in providing a positive and impactful influence on the lives of its participants.

In response to the evolving needs of its students, Gentlemen’s Quest launched STEM Quest in 2019, a transformative summer camp emphasizing project-based learning. This initiative has empowered participants with critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, and collaboration skills. An impressive 158 out of 163 STEM Quest participants have earned at least one industry certification, showcasing the program’s commitment to preparing youth for success in STEM-related fields. As Gentlemen’s Quest continues to evolve, it remains dedicated to empowering the next generation and making a lasting impact on the lives of the youth it serves.
