Job Readiness Program

The Job Readiness Program is a partnership that has been forged between GQ and local businesses to allow youth to gain skills that equip them for various careers. All of our students open a bank account and learn money management and financial literacy using the banking data from their account and the money that is made from working. Students earn a hourly wage for working, while they are learning valuable job skills to give them more confidence to apply for other jobs in the future.

Adults can sign up as crew members as well to provide training for the workforce. The valuable experience and work ethic that they bring is an instrumental part of the learning process for the teens.

“My first job was working for GQ. I learned a lot that will help me in the future. But, I loved the money the most.”
